Spring Break Day Camp on March 12th

Spring Break will be here before you know it and we have just the thing: our Spring Break Day Camp! Harvest Green kiddos aged 8-12 years are invited to the farm on Wednesday, March 12th from 8am-12:30pm for a fun and interactive outdoor experience. Farm explorers will have the opportunity to meet our farm animals, harvest veggies, and plant a spring garden in our raised beds. This year we are partnering with Cook Learn Grow to give campers the opportunity to engage in a cooking demo and lunch featuring the veggies they harvest earlier in the day. This event is exclusively for Harvest Green residents that are 8-12 years old. Tickets may be purchased here. 

Looking for a fun way to celebrate spring’s arrival? We invite you to join us at the Farmers Market on Saturday, March 8th from 9am-1pm for our annual Spring Kickoff! In addition to our Farm Stand and awesome lineup of local vendors, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our farm animals, play farm games, get your face painted, and have a romp in the bounce house. Plus, you’ll be able to stock up for your own garden at our plant sale! This event is free of charge and open to the public so please feel free to invite your friends and family. We hope to see you there! 

Remember the cucumber and zucchini that we started in the greenhouse earlier this month? We just transplanted them in one of the high tunnels! Even if we encounter near or below freezing temperatures over the next few weeks, our tunnels will be able to keep these plants warm and minimize any damage. This early planting means that we will be able to lengthen the season of both cucumbers and zucchinis and you’ll see them hit the Farm Stand a bit earlier this year. You can expect to see them trickle back into season towards the end of March.
