Our Farm Team

December 7th, 2022

You’ve most likely seen the faces of our farm team in our weekly farm updates but have you met any of them in person yet? You can join Farmer Nathan (bottom left) for one of his Bird and Nature Walks on the farm. Make sure to come to the next one on Sunday, December 18th and ask him about the vermilion flycatcher! Farmer Bethany (top left) will be at our next Meet the Farm tour on December 18th and would love for you to ask her about her favorite vegetables to grow. If you make your way to the farmers market, you’ll see Farmer Daphne (bottom middle) at the farm stand! Be sure to ask about her favorite vendors. If you’re one of our Vegetable Share members, you should definitely ask Farmer Nick (top right) some of the recent recipes he’s made when he delivers your share.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived…carrots are back in season! We’re harvesting a rainbow mix of carrots that will be available for you at the farm stand or in your Vegetable Share. Curious what our Vegetable Share is all about? It’s an exclusive benefit for Harvest Green residents that allows members to receive a completely customizable bag of certified organic produce from the farm every week. As an added perk, we offer free home delivery every Thursday for our members as a benefit of being a Harvest Green resident! A typical full share this week might include first of the season carrots, cauliflower, romaine lettuce, kale, parsley, Swiss chard, scallions, and Hakurei turnips. Head here to sign up!

Since it has been such a popular event, we decided to add one more Meet the Farm Tour to our schedule this year! This tour will take place on Sunday, December 18th at 1:30pm. It’s a great opportunity to see what our organic farm looks like this time of year and learn about what veggies and herbs are in season. And, you might even get to taste some of them! This tour is free of charge and open to the public. You can secure your spot here.
