Farm Tour on the 23rd
February 6th, 2025
We are excited to announce that our free monthly farm tours return on Sunday, February 23rd, at 1pm! These tours are a great way to experience the seasonal shifts on the farm and see what your favorites from the Farm Stand look like growing in the field. This month we’ll be featuring our tunnels and how they will allow us to plant our tomatoes and cucumbers even earlier this year! Our tours are open to the public and free of charge but we ask that you sign up here beforehand if you plan on attending.
The rain last week allowed us to focus on preparing beds and planting in our tunnels. We seeded new successions of both salad mix and arugula and as you can see below, they’re already germinating! We also planted another round of lettuce to ensure a steady supply through spring. One of the most exciting things we did was to clear out and reserve a bed for cucumbers! We will be planting the first cucumbers in about 3 weeks which will be the earliest we’ve been able to plant them thus far. We’ll share more on this in a few weeks so stay tuned!
Broccoli and cauliflower season has officially come to an end. We had some great rounds of these beloved veggies this winter and have been so happy to see how much you enjoyed them week after week. As we progress closer to the spring season, you’ll see certain crops phase out while other newer ones become available. We encourage you to take advantage of our cabbages over the coming weeks as these will soon make their way out of season. We currently have beautiful heads of both purple and Napa cabbages available for you at the Farm Stand.
